A high-concept comedy Nobody Nothing Nowhere will soon hit the European Film Market and its cast is as epic as it gets. Octavia Spencer, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Lucy Liu will play key roles in this promising project from the Beasts of the Southern Wild producers.
The project will be up for sale at the upcoming European Film Market and it’s been described as the story of Ruth, a human-looking being trained to serve Dave, the only surviving human on Earth. After getting tired of being an extra in someone else’s life, she decides to break away and demand a life of her own.
Spencer, who’ll produce Nobody Nothing Nowhere alongside Gordon-Levitt and Liu, said it’s a dream come true to work with them, and described this project as “a wholly original feature film that presents a world and its characters in an entirely unique way.”
Rachel Wolther and Alex H. Fischer will direct the project, based on their script from the 2018 Black List and Sundance Screenwriter Labs. Josh Penn and Michael Gottwald of the Department of Motion Pictures, who produced four-time Oscar nominee Beasts of the Southern Wild, will come on board as producers along with Allison Rose Carter, Spencer, Gordon-Levitt, and Liu.
