Adam & Eve has cast its female lead.

Fox has tapped Odette Annable to star as Eve in the forthcoming comedy pilot. Annable most recently starred as Reign/Sam on Season three of The CW’s Supergirl.

The single-camera comedy pilot will be helmed by Caire Scanlon. Jon Beckerman has been set as the pilot’s writer. Beckerman will also executive produce alongside the Avanti Group’s Claude Meunier and Luc Wiseman.

According to Deadline, Adam & Eve follows the titular couple at three stages of their relationship — young and passionate, middle-aged with kids, and navigating retirement. It’s a comedy about the big questions: What makes a marriage last? Do people ever really change? And, after 40 years together, why can’t we pick a place for dinner without it turning into a whole, you know, thing?

Annable’s other TV credits include Pure Genius, The Astronaut Wives Club and The Grinder.
