Olivia Rodrigo’s music videos are a gift that keeps on giving, and her latest is no exception. The cheeky visual for the singer’s latest single “Bad Idea Right?” sees her leaving her own party behind and going the extra mile to get back with her ex.
Rodrigo once again joined forces with Petra Collins, the mastermind behind most of her music videos, but she’s not the only familiar name she brought on board. This 90s-inspired visual also features appearances from some of Rodrigo’s best celebrity friends, including Tate McRae, Iris Apatow, and Madison Hu.
The music video opens with Rodrigo hosting a house party, but she doesn’t stay there for too long. The song’s lyrics see her pondering the idea of getting back with her ex, and she eventually abandons all logic and does everything in her power to make it happen.
“Bad Idea Right?” was released as the second single from Rodrigo’s highly-anticipated sophomore studio album Guts, set to be released on September 8. This album will feature a total of 12 tracks, including the lead single “Vampire”. This song created quite a commotion after it was released on June 30, and it became Rodrigo’s third single to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
