Olivia Rodrigo’s highly-anticipated debut album is just a few days away, and the more we learn about it, the more excited we are. The “Driver’s License” singer recently teased its release with another amazing single “Good 4 U”, and its music video shows her playing with fire.

Often compared to Paramore’s “Misery Business”, “Good 4 U” is more punk-rock-influenced than Rodrigo’s previous songs, and it comes with a music video that perfectly matches its theme. The Disney star is seen playing a cheerleader with violent tendencies, who is ready to commit arson to get back at her toxic ex.

When discussing the songwriting journey behind “Good 4 U” with Rolling Stone, Rodrigo said she wanted to try something different with this track because she didn’t want to play it safe and put out another heartbreak ballad.

“We really wanted to show that I’m a versatile songwriter and a versatile artist. I can make heartbreak songs but I can also make cool alternative pop songs. I didn’t want to be pigeonholed into the ‘heartbreak ballad girl’ thing,” explained Rodrigo.

“Good 4 U” follows “Drivers License” and “Deja Vu”, as the third single from Rodrigo’s debut album Sour, set to come out on May 21st.
