Ray Romano joins the cast of One Day at a Time as a guest star.
The Everybody Loves Raymond star is the sitcom’s first guest star for its forthcoming fourth season.
The casting announcement was made via the show’s social media accounts.
A picture of Romano alongside series stars s Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz, Todd Grinnell, and Stephen Tobolowsky, creators Gloria Calderon Kellett and Mike Royce, and producers Norman Lear and Brent Miller, was captioned with, “The first live taping of the new season is tomorrow AND our friend Ray Romano is joining us as a special guest star for the premiere. Welcome to the fam!”
Per the official character description, Romano is set to play Brian, “a 2020 US Census taker who comes to the Alvarez household to interview the family.”
Season four of One Day at a Time premieres March 24.
