The world of Disney was rocked on Sunday as news broke that one of their own had passed.

Cameron Boyce, who starred on Jessie and the Descendants movie, died on Saturday as the result of an on-going medical condition. He was just 20-years-old.

“It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” his family said in a statement. “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”

Hollywood stars have also expressed their condolences, including Adam Sandler who starred with Cameron on Grown Ups and its sequel.

“Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around,” the Murder Mystery star wrote on Twitter.

Cameron’s Jessie co-star, Skai Jackson, mourned her on-screen brother, stating how he gave the best hugs.

Musician Hozier also recalled how impressed her was by Cameron’s energy and dedication.

Rest in peace.
