Only Murders in the Building is one of Hulu’s most popular comedy shows to date, and they’re not letting go of it anytime soon. After the Season 3 finale concluded with another major cliffhanger, the streamer was quick to renew this acclaimed show for its fourth season.
Only Murders in the Building centers on three total strangers Charles, Oliver, and Mabel (Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez) who live in the same apartment building in New York. They bond through their shared love for true crime podcasts and decide to make their own about a string of mysterious murders in their apartment building.
The show’s third season took us to Broadway and centered on the murder of Hollywood actor Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd). The star-studded cast of Season 3 also included Meryl Streep, Jesse Williams, Ashley Park, Jeremy Shamos, Linda Emond, Wesley Taylor, and Michael Cyril Creighton.
Renewing Only Murders in the Building for another season was a no-brainer for Hulu considering its commercial and critical success. It’s the streamer’s most-watched original comedy series to date, and its Season 3 premiere scored the most-watched debut for any Hulu scripted original in 2023. This series has been nominated for many accolades since its premiere, and it’s currently in the running for the best comedy series at the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards.
