MGM Studios just revealed a star-studded voice cast for their highly anticipated animated Addams Family movie. Based on the Addams Family cartoons, this animated feature will see Oscar Isaac and Charlize Theron voicing Gomez and Morticia Addams, with Nick Kroll being the voice of Uncle Fester; Chloe Grace Moretz voicing Wednesday Addams; Finn Wolfhard voicing Pugsley Addams, and Bette Midler lending her voice to Grandmama. Margaux Needler, the family’s archenemy, will be voiced by Allison Janney.

The movie is scheduled for release on October 11, 2019, with Sausage Party duo, Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, directing from a script written by Matt Lieberman.

“Greg and I have always been a fan of the Addams Family in past versions, so when we set out to make this movie, we were excited to do something new,” said Vernon in a statement. “With that in mind, I drew from the brilliantly original Charles Addams New Yorker cartoons for the look of the film and decided to tell the story of how Gomez and Morticia meet, find their house and start their family.”

According to the short synopsis provided by MGM, the movie will see the family getting into a face-off with the crafty reality-TV host while hosting a major celebration for their extended family at the same time.

The Addams Family was created by cartoonist Charles Addams as a cartoon featured in The New Yorker. The cartoon saw several adaptations in the past, including three feature films and a television series.
