The iCarly revival was one of the shows that helped put Paramount+ on the map, but all good things must come to an end. The streamer announced its decision to cancel this series and its third season will now officially be its last.

Season 3 of iCarly ended with a major cliffhanger, teasing the reveal of Carly’s mom, but we’ll never get to learn who she is after Paramount+ officials decided to cancel this series.

“The series had a great three-season run and delivered on what fans really wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally getting together. We want to thank the entire cast, the writers, directors, and producers along with the whole crew for their dedication, creativity, and talent,” reads the statement by a Paramount+ spokesperson.

The iCarly revival draws inspiration from the beloved Nickelodeon series of the same name, which centered on a group of best friends filming a webcast while grappling with everyday problems and adventures during their teenage years.

The revival premiered on Paramount+ in 2021 and it’s set about a decade after the original show. It reunited us with many of the stars of Nickelodeon’s iCarly, including Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Kress.
