Paramount to Honor Patrick Swayze With New Documentary

The next installment in Paramount Network’s I Am franchise will delve into the life of actor Patrick Swayze. 

The franchise has previously focused on John F. Kennedy Jr., Martin Luther King Jr., Steve McQueen, Evel Knievel, Paul Walker, Chris Farley, and Heath Ledger. 

I Am Patrick Swayze will dive into the life of the man who would star in some of Hollywood’s most popular films. According to Deadline, the doc will feature interviews with Swayze’s “friends and loved ones,” including wife Lisa Niemi, brother Don Swayze and co-stars Sam Elliott, Jennifer Grey, C. Thomas Howell, Rob Lowe, Kelly Lynch, Demi Moore, Lori Petty, and Marshall R. Teague.

The feature is directed by Adrian Buitenhuis. 

The film is set to premiere on August 18, the day that would have been Swayze’s 67th birthday,
