Popular horror movie film franchise Paranormal Activity is ready to make a big return after an uncharacteristic six-year break. The new entry in the series is titled Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin and arrives on October 29th, just in time for Halloween.

However, if you hoped to check it out in cinemas, we have some bad news. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new movie will not be available in theaters and will instead be a streaming exclusive for Paramount Plus.

Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, which stars Emily Bader, Roland Buck III, Dan Lippert, and Henry Ayres-Brown in prominent roles, also received its first preview in the form of a teaser trailer. The clip doesn’t give away much of the story, focusing instead on the found footage that seems taken out of context and delivering some hair-raising moments. Check it out below.

The most recent entry in the franchise, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, came out in 2015 and was widely panned by critics. It was also the lowest-grossing Paranormal Activity movie but still managed to turn in a healthy profit, earning $78 million compared to the $10 million budget.

The franchise producers previously reiterated that Next of Kin is not the sequel to The Ghost Dimension. Instead, the movie, directed by William Eubank, will serve as the reboot of the entire film series.
