A Wonder Woman 3 is in the works. Franchise director Patty Jenkins and Lynda Carter spoke about the film during DC FanDome confirming the threequel is happening.
Gal Gadot will be returning to play Diana Prince and the film will be written and helmed again by Jenkins.
Jenkins also said that the original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter would be returning for Wonder Woman 3 after her cameo as Amazon warrior Asteria in last year’s film.
“We’re super excited about Wonder Woman 3. Gal (Gadot), who is so bummed about not being here, who’s the busiest person in the world, with now three little kids and shooting. We are all three very excited about some things coming up with Wonder Woman 3,”: Jenkins said.
“Wonder Woman 3 is coming!” Carter added.
Wonder Woman 1984 was released on Christmas Day 2020 and not long after its release, Warner Bros. announced the development of the third film was in the works.
The films have amassed over $989 million at the global box office, according to Variety.
