Sir Paul McCartney has been confirmed for the legendary Pyramid headlining slot at Glastonbury 2020.

McCartney shared a cryptic clue on his Twitter account prior to the big announcement. He shared an image of Philip Glass, Emma Stone, and Chuck Berry. Fans were quick to clock onto the fact the celebrity’s surnames combined read “Glass-Stone-Bury”.

A few hours after McCartney’s “subtle” clue, Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis wrote: “IT’S REAL!! So excited.. Having Paul McCartney coming back to headline the Pyramid next year is an absolute dream come true. There really was no one that we wanted more for the 50th anniversary.”

McCartney added: “Hey Glasto – excited to be part of your Anniversary celebrations. See ya next summer!”

Glastonbury will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next year and so it will be an extra special one. The rest of the lineup will follow but with Paul McCartney headlining, what more do you really need?
