Paul Simon is headed Hawaii this August.

Paul Simon announced that he will perform two benefits shows in Maui his first performances on the island since 1968. He last performed in Hawaii with his legendary partner Art Garfunkel when they played at Honolulu’s HIC Arena on August of that year.

The back-to-back concerts will take place at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on August 13 and 14, just two days after the singer-songwriter headlines San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival — his first concert since he retired last September.

Although he is now retired and no longer touring, these concerts are part of the legendary singer’s pledge to an “ongoing commitment to perform the occasional concert and to donate those earnings to philanthropic organizations, particularly those dedicated to environmental welfare and to preserving species biodiversity.”

Tickets for both performances go on sale Saturday.
