Bel-Air became quite a huge hit for Peacock since its premiere in 2022, and the streamer isn’t letting go of it anytime soon. The reimagining of Will Smith’s classic sitcom from the ’90s is a success story in its own right and it’s just been renewed for its third season.

Bel-Air follows Will’s (Jabari Banks) complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air, as he tries to navigate the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known.

In addition to Banks, the show’s cast also includes Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, Jordan L. Jones, and Simone Joy Jones. Carla Banks Waddles serves as showrunner, while Morgan Cooper, Malcolm Spellman, TJ Brady, and Rasheed Newson were in charge of developing the series for Peacock.

Renewing this series makes sense for Peacock since Bel-Air happens to be one of their most streamed shows to date. Following its premiere last year, Bel-Air became the streamer’s most-watched original premiere. It went on to become the platform’s most-streamed original series, reaching 8 million accounts by the end of its first season.
