Peacock Renews Rian Johnson’s “Poker Face” for Season 2

Natasha Lyonne in "Poker Face"

Rian Johnson gave us one of the best new shows of the year with Poker Face and there’s more where that came from! Natasha Lyonne will return to solve some more murder mysteries as a “human lie detector” Charlie Cale in the second season of Poker Face.

Poker Face is case-of-the-week murder mystery series led by Natasha Lyonne. She plays a casino worker Charlie Cale, who goes on a run from a sinister casino boss, and uses her special talent to detect lies to solve crimes across the United States.

Each episode features a new set of colorful characters, with Adrien Brody, Dascha Polanco, Ron Perlman, Chloë Sevigny, Brandon Micheal Hall, Judith Light, and many more in guest roles.

NBCUniversal Television and Streaming’s Susan Rovner described Poker Face as one of those rare, undeniable shows that they fell in love with from the very start, adding that the critical response has been beyond their wildest dreams.

“Working alongside the creative genius of Rian Johnson, Natasha Lyonne, and Ram Bergman, along with our partners at MRC and T-Street, has been a spectacular ride, and we can’t wait to hit the road for another season as we continue to build momentum across Peacock’s originals slate,” said Rovner in a statement.

Poker Face premiere on Peacock on January 26, and new episodes are still airing, while the season finale is set to premiere on March 9.
