The Saved by the Bell revival has proven as one of the most talked-about shows on Peacock since the launch of this streaming service. It was met with critical acclaim and impressive viewership numbers after its premiere, so it was just a matter of time before it was renewed for a second season.

Writer and executive producer Tracey Wigfield confirmed the renewal of this show in an official statement and said she’s thrilled that Saved by the Bell will return for Season 2.

“I’ve been blown away by all the love for the show and can’t wait to go back and make more episodes. Hopefully, we stay on Peacock for many more seasons, and then in 30 years, somebody does a reboot of our reboot and invents the threeboot,” stated Wigfield.

Erin Underhill, president of Universal Television, echoed her statement and said they’re immensely proud of her innovative reimagining of Saved by the Bell for a new generation.

The revival focuses on a new group of Bayside High students and features appearances of several members of the original cast, including Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez.
