Peaky Blinders will be coming to a big screen near you.

It was announced in January that the forthcoming sixth season of the Birmingham-based series would be its final outing, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing the last of the Shelby clan.

Creator Steven Knight has confirmed that a Peaky Blinders feature film will begin production in 2023. Naturally, it be set and filmed in Birmingham.

“And that will probably be the sort of the end of the road for Peaky Blinders as we know it,” Knight said at the BFI London Film Festival.

Although there are rumors of a spin-off to the show starring Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sam Neill, Tom Hardy, Aidan Gillen, and Anya Taylor-Joy, amongst others, Knight has said that he would prefer to “pass the baton” should they go ahead.

A release date for the sixth season of Peaky Blinders has yet to be announced.
