Pedro Pascal and Chris Hemsworth are two of Hollywood’s biggest stars right now, and it was just a matter of time before their paths crossed. That moment is finally here since they’re both set to star in the high-profile crime thriller Crime 101.

Based on Don Winslow’s novella Broken, Crime 101 hails from the American Animals director Bart Layton. Pascal and Hemstowrth still haven’t officially struck a deal to star in this project, but they’ve both shown interest before the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Crime 101 is set in the world of high-level jewel thefts, taking place up and down the Pacific Coast. Police have linked them to the Colombian cartels, but detective Lou Lubesnick has other ideas after zeroing in on a thief looking for a final score.

Working Title’s Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan and Shane Salerno’s Story Factory are handling the sales of this high-profile project, which will go to the highest bidder. Amazon and Netflix are the front-runners right now, and Amazon currently has a slight edge, according to Deadline.

In addition to leading The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, Pedro Pascal is attached to several other projects, including Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2. Chris Hemsworth mostly recently starred in Extraction 2, and we’ll next get to see him in George Miller’s Furiosa next year.
