Critically acclaimed director David Michôd is busy plotting his next project Wizards! and he eyed some pretty amazing actors for the key roles in this movie. Pete Davidson and Naomi Scott are set to play the leads, alongside Franz Rogowski and Sean Harris.

According to its official synopsis, Wizards! will follow two beach-bar operators (Davidson and Rogowski) who run into trouble when they stumble across stolen loot that they really should have just left alone.

In addition to directing, Michôd also penned the script which is based on a story that he co-wrote with his frequent collaborator Joel Edgerton. He most recently directed the historical drama The King, starring Edgerton, Timothée Chalamet, and Robert Pattinson.

This project marks the fourth collaboration between A24 and Plan B after critically acclaimed movies Moonlight, Minari, and The Last Black Man in San Francisco. Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner of Plan B will produce the film alongside Liz Watts.

Wizards! joins Davidson’s busy slate of upcoming projects, including horror Bodies Bodies Bodies and comedies Good Mourning and Meet Cute, in addition to his work on Saturday Night Live. As for the Aladdin star Scott, she most recently appeared on the mini-series Anatomy of a Scandal and is attached to sci-fi comedy Distant.
