Poll: Most Viewers Actually Liked the End of “Game of Thrones”

Emilia Clarke in the final episode of "Game of Thrones"

A lot of Game of Thrones fans did not like the final season of the show and particularly the end of it. The subject did not die out for months, prompting a petition for the reshooting of the season and the actors and crew of the show vocalizing their defense of it. Now, a new poll shows that actually, the majority of the fans are quite happy with the ending as it is.

YouGov ran a poll about Emmy winner series’ and from the 2,475 adults being polled, 52% claimed they were “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the infamous season. 18% of the people being polled said they have watched every episode of the show – a higher percentage of loyal watchers than any other show. 18% also said that Game of Thrones deserves to win the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series – the highest percentage to an answer other than “I don’t know.”

41% of the people giving answers said they were unsatisfied with the final season and 7% said they are neutral on the subject. On-line polls are not really the most accurate measuring criteria on those matters, although Winter is Coming site claims this poll utilizes a higher than average level of math in order to widen the error margin. It is obvious, though, that the season supplied a very polarizing ending to the epic fantasy hit.
