Christmas was extra festive for the royal family as Prince George and Princess Charlotte join the family at the Sandringham service for the very first time.

The royal family’s walk to the annual Christmas Day church services featured two new additions. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s two eldest children, 6-year-old George and 4-year-old Charlotte joined Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Anne, Prince Charles, and other members of the royal family for the holiday services.

Being their first appearance at the event, well-wishers were very excited to see Charlotte and George, many of them handing out flowers and gifts to the duo.

Not in attendance was Charlotte and George’s youngest brother one-year-old Prince Louis and Prince Philip, who was released from hospital on Tuesday. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were noticeably missing. The couple and their son, 7-month-old Archie are spending the holidays in Canada.
