“Princess Switch” Sequel Set at Netflix

Vanessa Hudgens and Nick Sagar in "The Princess Switch"

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that a sequel to The Princess Switch is coming to the streaming giant.

The Princess Switch: Switched Again has been given the green light by Netflix.

Original film star Vanessa Hudgens will reprise her role(s) for the sequel. Mike Rohl will return to direct from a script by original screenwriters Robin Bernheim and Megan Metzger.

According to the outlet, the follow-up film will take place as Duchess Margaret (Hudgens) unexpectedly inherits the throne to Montenaro and hits a rough patch with Kevin. It’s up to her double, Stacy (also Hudgens), to save the day before a new look-alike, party girl Fiona (Hudgens again), foils their plans.

Production on The Princess Switch: Switched Again is set to begin next month for a 2020 release.
