New York Times bestselling novel The White Tiger is finally getting its movie adaptation thanks to Netflix, and its extraordinary cast will be led by Priyanka Chopra.

Aravind Adiga’s novel that this movie is based on traces the journey of Balram Halwai, who tells us the transfixing story of how he found success in life, after starting off as a poor boy selling tea to locals at his village.

The White Tiger has been described as the story of “coruscating wit, blistering suspense, and questionable morality” and Priyanka Chopra said she’s excited to join forces with actor Rajkummar Rao and director Ramin Bahrani to bring this poignant tale to its cinematic life.

“The story’s portrayal of raw ambition and the extent one will go to achieve one’s goals is riveting. I look forward to filming this in India this fall and also working along with Rajkummar for the first time and the wonderful cast Ramin is putting together,” said Quantico star in a statement.
