Auf Wiedersehen Lifetime, hello Bravo!

Project Runway is returning to its original network, Bravo, after almost a decade with Lifetime.

The news of the switch was confirmed by Andy Cohen on Monday during the 2018-19 NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Upfront presentation.

Project Runway is coming back where it all started,” he said on stage. “It’s coming home on Bravo.”

“We are beyond excited to reboot Project Runway at the network where it all began,” Frances Berwick, President of Lifestyle Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, said in a statement. “Leaning into the creative process in an entertaining way has always been part of Bravo’s DNA, and Project Runway perfectly captures that. This franchise will be an important cornerstone to complement Bravo’s original premium scripted and unscripted slate, and we expect it to drive the same level of fan-dom and passion as we experienced last time it was on Bravo.”

The reality TV competition made its debut in 2004 and has since been seeking the most promising upcoming fashion designers. It aired on Bravo for five years but left due to a license fee dispute.

The panel of judges boasts the savvy and stylish Nina Garcia and Zac Posen. The show is helmed by Heidi Klum and features Tim Gunn as the mentor.

It’s still not confirmed when the show’s 17th season will debut on its new home.
