Rachel Bilson has joined Fox’s dramedy pilot Lovestruck.

She is set to play the female lead, aka the bride in the tentatively titled pilot wedding night series. Bilson’s bride, Daisy Valentine, is described as a “bolt of pure sunshine,” sweet and thoughtful yet assertive.

She joins the previously announced Andie MacDowell and Richard Roxburgh, who will play her on-screen parents as well as Kathleen Turner, Madeline Wise, and Usman Ally.

Inspired by the French series, Quadras, the entire first season takes place over the course of a single night at a wedding. As viewers get to know the wedding party, they’ll “learn surprising reveals about both their present and past. We’ll see that things aren’t always what they seem and explore the complicated bonds of love, friendship, and family at different stages of life.”

Bilson is best known for her role as Summer Roberts on Fox’s teen soap The O.C. She also starred as the lead on The CW’s Hart of Dixie as well as roles on CMT’s Nashville and s ABC’s Take Two.
