Rachel Zegler is one of Hollywood’s biggest rising stars right now, and she just landed a lead role in her next big project. Saturday Night Live alum Kyle Mooney is plotting his feature directorial debut with disaster comedy Y2K, with Zegler leading its cast.

Y2K is set on New Year’s Eve 1999, and it centers on two high school nobodies, who decide to ring in the new millennium by crashing the last big party. Things get crazy when the clock strikes midnight, and the night gets more insane than they ever could have imagined.

Jaeden Martell (It) and Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2) lead the stacked ensemble, which also includes Rachel Zegler (West Side Story), Lachlan Watson (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Mason Gooding (Scream VI), and rapper The Kid Laroi.

Tim Heidecker (Us), Eduardo Franco (Stranger Things), Miles Robbins (Blockers), Alicia Silverstone (The Killing of a Sacred Deer), Fred Hechinger (Fear Street Trilogy), and Daniel Zolghadri (Funny Pages) also star.

Mooney left Saturday Night Live at the end of last season, and this will mark his directorial feature debut. Evan Winter wrote the script, and he’ll produce alongside Christopher Storer, Matt Dines, plus Ali Goodwin and Jonah Hill via their production company Strong Baby.
