Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien is getting ready to drop a brand new single. And it lands on Thursday.

O’Brien shared the news over Instagram. He shared a picture of a handwritten letter in which he revealed that the new single “Brasil” will land on Thursday. A second single will arrive in 2020 followed by the full album.

Ed went onto explain: “The story starts post the King Of Limbs tour in 2012 when me and my family moved out to Brasil. We had a truly profound experience living in that extraordinary country.

“As our time out there came to an end, we headed home and I found myself inivitively heading for the Welsh hills. With a copy of Walt Whitman’s Leaves Of Glass, a couple of guitars, an amp and some pedals (of course), I rented a cottage in the Cambrian Mountains and the songs that make up the album started to flow out.”

Ed has been promising a solo album since 2016, so his new single is highly-anticipated by Radiohead fans.
