Watch Rami Malek dedicate his well-deserved Golden Globe win to Freddie Mercury.

Malek took home the award for “Best Performance By An Actor In A Motion Picture – Drama” at the ceremony last night (January 6). He beat the likes of Bradley Cooper (A Star Is Born) and Lucas Hedges (Boy Erased).

When accepting the award, Malek dedicated his win not to his friends and family, but to the legends of Queen. He finished his acceptance speech by exclaiming “this is for you… gorgeous” and blowing a kiss to the late Freddie Mercury.

“To you, Brian May, to you, Roger Taylor, for ensuring that authenticity and inclusivity exist in the music and in the world and in all of us,” he declared.

“Thank you to Freddie Mercury for giving me the joy of a lifetime. I love you, you beautiful man. This is for – and because of – you, gorgeous.”
