The Red Hot Chili Peppers just gave an assembly of unsuspecting kids the best Halloween ever.
The alternative rock band surprised students at Viewpoint School in Calabasas, California with a performance of their iconic hit ‘Can’t Stop’. Drummer Chad Smith’s children attend the high school, so we’re assuming they’re now the coolest kids in class, although they probably were already.
The band showed up at the school’s assembly where they were celebrating Halloween. Each band member then showed up on stage wearing a Halloween costume. Smith went as a creepy Pope/Guy Fawkes crossover, Flea went as a spooky skeleton and Anthony Kiedis went all out and wore shorts and a mask. Josh Klinghoffer possibly made even less effort with a green wig and sunglasses combo.
Chad Smith announced the performance on Twitter, writing: “Who rocks out at 9:30 a.m. at my kids’ school? We do!”

Students at the school went wild when they realized that the band was not just ‘some kid’s parents’ jamming but the legendary Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Could this quite possibly be the best school assembly of all time?
