Reese Witherspoon spent her childhood in Nashville and she’s getting ready to pay homage to her hometown with her next project. The Oscar-winning actress will be in charge of producing Apple’s upcoming country music competition series My Kind of Country.

Witherspoon announced this project on Instagram and described it as the search for extraordinary country music talents with remarkable stories that still need to be told in this genre.

“I’ve been incredibly inspired by all artists who continue to blaze bold new trails and our hope is to discover musicians who are revolutionizing country music and help amplify their voices and bring the JOY of Country Music to everyone around the world!” wrote the actress.

My Kind of Country won’t be Witherspoon’s first brush with the world of country music—she won an Oscar for playing the legendary singer June Carter Cash in Walk the Line. My Kind of Country is currently her third project with Apple TV+ and it will be produced by her company Hello Sunshine.
