It is likely that we will get the chance to further unravel the mystery that started with the Big Bang.

In 2017, producers of The Big Bang Theory signed a deal which would extend the show for another two seasons.

Now, as the hit series prepares to embark on its impressive 12th season, the question of its continuation has been raised.

“We don’t believe it’s the final season. We are in preliminary discussions to renew the show with the studio that produces it, Warner Bros,” said President of Entertainment at CBS, Kelly Kahl.

It would make sense for the network to keep TBBT on as the show’s 11th season gained an average of 18.9 million viewers and was the second most-watched series.

The renewal will mean contract negotiations for the cast who are so far earning $1 million per episode.

“As long as Chuck [Lorre] and his team have stories to tell, we will take the show for as long as they want to go,” Kahl said. “We can take a few more seasons.”

And we can watch a few.
