To date, Samuel L. Jackson has appeared in 11 movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Nick Fury. Several reports are now suggesting the actor will bring the character to the small screen for the first time in a new Nick Fury show for Disney+.

According to the reports, the show is in very early stages of production and was not even formally ordered. Kyle Bradstreet is set to be the show’s writer and executive producer. He is known for his work on Mr. Robot.

Although it is not Jackson’s first time on television, it will surely be his most prominent role. He appeared as Nick Fury in two episodes of MCU’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He also appeared in eight episodes of The Boondocks and starred in an anime miniseries called Afro Samurai as well as in the TV movie Afro Samurai: Resurrection

The new show joins an increasingly long list of Marvel shows in different stages of development for Disney+. Later this year, the service will release WandaVision while The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was delayed to 2021. Other shows on the list include Loki, What If…?, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon-Knight.
