Richard Madden is in negotiations to star in Marvel’s The Eternals.
Should he join the Chloe Zhao-directed feature adaptation of Jack Kirby’s 1976 comic, the Game of Thrones and Bodyguard star will join Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani.
The story, set millions of years in the past, follows the cosmic beings known as the Celestials, who genetically experimented on humans to create super-powered individuals known as the Eternals, along with the villainous Deviants. The two groups battled each other throughout history.
Matthew and Ryan Firpo are writing the script. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige is producing.
Marvel had no comment regarding the casting.
