There’s apparently nothing in this world Rihanna can’t do, and she just added another facet to her glittering resume. The pop superstar and entrepreneur has been given an ambassadorial role in her native Barbados. which involves promoting education, tourism and investment.
The Caribbean island’s prime minister, Mia Amor Mottley announced these amazing news and hailed the artist for her significant creative acumen and shrewdness in business.
“Rihanna has a deep love for this country and this is reflected in her philanthropy, especially in the areas of health and education. She also shows her patriotism in the way she gives back to this country and continues to treasure the island as her home,” explained Mottley.
The pop sensation was already a cultural ambassador for Barbados before expending her role across a much broader range of areas. She’s looking forward to working towards re-imagining Barbados, as newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
“I couldn’t be more proud to take on such a prestigious title in my home country. Every Barbadian is going to have to play their role in this current effort, and I’m ready and excited to take on the responsibility,” said Rihanna.
