After five long years, we may finally be getting new music from Rihanna. The singer teased the possibility of a new song on Instagram.
Rihanna posted a video on Instagram celebrating her career as a Black woman with clips of her achievements as a performer, musician, designer, and philanthropist. The caption of the post reads, “grateful to the most High for putting die hard supporters in my circle…congrats to everyone that contributed to this era, thank you team.”
One fan asked the singer to “celebrate by releasing a song”. Rihanna responded with, “I think I should” with a “soon” emoji, and added, “just 1 tho lol”.
Her last studio album was 2016’s Anti. Back in December during an interview with Closer, Rihanna said that the pandemic has sparked her creativity. “2021 is a little unknown for everybody … my creativity is within my control though, and I want to take my music and my brands to a different level.”
No release date for new music has been set yet.
