Rita Ora has been teasing the music video for her latest single “How To Be Lonely” for some time, and it was definitely worth the hype. The surreal video for this song is finally here, and it’s just the thing we need at this point in time.

The Dave Meyers-directed clip sees the singer taking some extreme measures to get over a breakup – like dancing with a skeleton, being hugged by a giant bear and bathing in gold paint. The most surreal scene comes at the very end when an outer space version of Ora lands on Earth in a futuristic spaceship.

Meyers’ main vision for this video was to covey “the necessary healing process that leads to the reawakening of one’s true self”, and Ora felt now’s the perfect time to share it with the world since we’re all trying to figure out how to find strength on our own.

“Many of us are separated from those we care about and aren’t used to being by ourselves. In a time when everything seems to be so uncertain, I hope this song brings comfort and connection to those who need it. We will get through this together,” said the singer in a statement.
