Robin Hood Starring Taron Egerton Drops First Teaser Trailer

Robin Hood is making its way to the big screen once again, with Kingsman: The Golden Circle. The new film will star Taron Egerton who will play the legendary heroic outlaw. The 2018’s movie Robin Hood has finally dropped its first teaser trailer and gave fans a glimpse of what we can expect once the movie is released on November 21.

Directed by Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders and Black Mirror), this adaptation of the tale of Robin Hood also stars Jamie Foxx as Little John, Eve Hewson as Robin’s love interest Maid Marion, Tim Minchin as Friar Tuck, and Jamie Dornan as Will Scarlet. Ben Mendelsohn will take on the role of Robin’s archnemesis Sheriff of Nottingham.

“Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.”

Lionsgate’s take on Robin Hood is just one of the three that fans of the story will be getting in the future. The Matrix directors, Lana and Lilly Wachowski have already finished the script for movie Hood, which will serve as a modern adaptation of the Robin Hood legends. Disney is also aiming to develop a film series based on the franchise with the first movie titled Nottingham & Hood written by Brandon Barker.

The last Robin Hood movie came in 2010 from Ridley Scott with Russell Crowe taking the role of the titular character. The movie received mixed reviews and earned $321 million at the box office, compared to its $200 million budget.
