ABC is slowly gearing up for the premiere of The Conners, spinoff of their canceled comedy Roseanne. But Roseanne Barr, who was fired from the original show earlier this year, isn’t keen on watching the rest of the sitcom’s cast making a comeback to television without her.

Barr recently made an appearance on Rabbi Shmuley Boteach’s podcast and was asked whether she will watch The Conners. She responded that she doesn’t plan on watching the show and will move to Israel for a few months instead.

“I have an opportunity to go to Israel for a few months and study with my favorite teachers over there, and that’s where I’m going to go and probably move somewhere there and study with my favorite teachers,” – the 65-year-old told Shmuley. “I have saved a few pennies and I’m so lucky I can go.”

Barr also wasn’t keen on giving more elaborate answers when pressed to offer her opinion on the spinoff and the death of her character on the original show.

“I’m staying away from it. Not wishing bad on anyone and I don’t wish good for my enemies,” – she said. “That’s what I gotta do.”

At first, ABC’s revival of their ’90s sitcom Roseanne, which starred Roseanne Barr in the leading role, was a huge success and the most watched comedy in 2017/2018 TV season. But, the network decided to pull the plug on the revival in May after series of controversial tweets posted by Barr on her official Twitter account.

After the cancelation of the original show, ABC started working on a spinoff which would star the rest of Roseanne’s cast including John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson, Michael Fishman, Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, and Jayden Rey. The network officially confirmed the spinoff, now titled The Conners, in June setting the premiere date for October 16, 2018.
