Rotterdam to Host Eurovision 2020

The 2020 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Rotterdam!

The host city for the 65th song contest has finally been announced. The news was confirmed by the European Broadcasting Union Friday. 

Rotterdam beat four other Dutch cities, which competed to be the one to host the world’s largest live annual music competition.

Jon Ola Sand, the EBU’s Executive Supervisor for the Eurovision Song Contest, said, “Rotterdam has shown fantastic enthusiasm and commitment and has the right facilities to welcome delegations from over 40 countries next May. We look forward to working with Rotterdam and NPO, NOS and AVROTROS on an incredible state-of-the-art Eurovision Song Contest in a great city next year.”

The Netherlands won the right to host the 65th Eurovision contest singer Duncan Laurence won this year’s event in Tel Aviv with his ballad “Arcade.”
