Get ready for a RuPaul holiday extravaganza!
Nothing says holiday season like a good old fashion drag queen face off. Eight RuPaul’s Drag Race fan favorites will reunite this December for a competitive holiday-themed special. According to Entertainment Weekly, the queens will make their way back into the Werk Room for a special episode titled RuPaul’s Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular.
The special was announced Tuesday by VH1.
Competing for the title of ‘Drag Race Xmas Queen’ are Eureka O’Hara, Jasmine Masters, Shangela, Kim Chi, Latrice Royale, Mayhem Miller, Sonique and Trixie Mattel.
“Nothing says Christmas like ‘Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, and drag queens slipping on their pantyhose,’” RuPaul said of the episode via press statement. “Celebrating the holidays with my most festive girls inspired me to record my new album, Christmas Party. And this VH1 holiday extravaganza is my way of saying thank you to my Drag Race family by spreading a little bit of love, laughter, and light across the country and around the world.”
The Emmy-winning reality series will return December 7 for RuPaul’s Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular.
