Barbie has found her Ken.
Margot Robbie’s reputation as a blonde bombshell naturally made her the perfect fit to bring Mattel’s doll to life in the upcoming film from Greta Gerwig.
Not only will the Suicide Squad actress be starring in the titular role, but she will be producing the feature as well. The Australian described the project as “Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different — the thing you didn’t know you wanted.”
And apparently, that now includes Ryan Gosling (how did they know?!)
The La La Land star is in final negotiations to portray Barbie’s love interest, Ken.
According to Deadline, Gosling had initially passed on the role, but reconsidered once his schedule opened up following a delay in the movie’s pre-production process.
Filming is scheduled to begin next year.
