Months after Universal released Elisabeth Moss’ Invisible Man, relaunching into the monster universe, the studio is moving forward with Wolfman and Ryan Gosling is set to star in the remake.

Written by Orange Is The New Black’s Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, the script is based on an original pitch by Gosling. As of now, there’s no director attached to the film.

The Wolfman 2010 film by Universal starred Benicio del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, and Hugo Weaving. It follows Lawrence Talbot, who is bitten by a werewolf and afflicted by an ancient curse when he’s trying to return home.

It’s still unknown what this remake will look like, but it’s believed to take place in the present times with a similar feel to Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nightcrawler, with a supernatural twist.

Universal’s upcoming monster movies include Elizabeth Banks’ Invisible Woman, Paul Feig’s Dark Army, Dexter Fletcher’s Renfield, and Karyn Kusama’s Dracula.
