Ryan Reynolds is taking some time out.

A glance at the Free Guy actor’s IMDb profile will show that he has starred in at least one production every single year since 1993. Not to mention the 12 projects he has coming up!

So when the 45-year-old says he’s taking a break, we don’t blame him.

Since July, Reynolds has been working on the holiday film Spirited in which he stars opposite Will Ferrell. Now that it’s complete, he shared an update on Instagram.

“That’s a wrap for me on Spirited. Not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago,” the Canadian wrote about the Apple TV+ feature. “Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists.”

Ryan and his wife Blake Lively are famous for teasing each other on social media, so naturally, The Rhythm Sectionactress left a comment saying, “Michael Caine did it first” in reference to her husband’s “retirement announcement”.
