Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski to Join “Imaginary Friends”

The project from Paramount is set to be written by Krasinski, who will also direct and star, with Reynolds co-starring and producing. 

Multiple outlets report that Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski have teamed up for the movie Imaginary Friends. The duo is in talks to board the comedy. Paramount just recently won the bidding war from the feature, beating out Lionsgate and Sony among others. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film follows a man who can see and talk to people’s imaginary friends. But things get dark and complicated when some of those imaginary friends, turn to the dark side.

Krasinski is currently in post-production on A Quiet Place: Part II, which opens March 20. Reynolds is just coming off a major deal with Apple to star alongside Will Ferrell in a live-action adaptation of the classic tale A Christmas Carol.
