Deadpool 3 is one of the most highly-anticipated new films coming out in 2024, and Ryan Reynolds just added some more fuel to the fire. The Golden Globe-nominated actor marked the end of the year by sharing a photo in the new Deadpool costume.

Reynolds wrapped up 2023 with a photo dump on Instagram, which he captioned with words, “Thank you 2023 part 1. In no real order. I got to spend most of the year working and playing with the people I [love].” One of the photos he included shows him rocking the new Deadpool costume without the face mask.

Reynolds shared the new photo on his own terms, but he previously expressed hope that set photos wouldn’t leak on social media so they wouldn’t ruin the surprise.

“Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready. The film is built for audience joy — and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen,” said Reynolds.

Deadpool 3 will be one star-studded affair, and its cast will include Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, plus Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Jennifer Garner as Elektra. The highly-anticipated trequel will be released on July 26, 2024, after shifting the release date with Captain America: Brave New World.
