“S-x Education” to End with Season 4 as Netflix Drops New Trailer

About a lot of speculations about the future of the critically acclaimed drama S-x Education, Netflix finally made things official. The upcoming fourth season will also be the show’s last, and the streaming giant gave us a taste of things to come in the first trailer for the show’s final chapter.

Creator Laurie Nunn confirmed that the show is ending in an official statement, and revealed it became clear that the story is nearing its swan song while scripting Season 4.

“During that process, it just started to feel very clear that the stories were coming to an end, the characters were being left in a place that I felt really good about it. I felt happy for them, and I felt like I’ve said everything that I want to say with these characters at this time.” Nunn told Tudum.

The ending of S-x Education has been on the horizon for quite some time, as its stars move on to other projects. Several supporting cast members left the series ahead of Season 4, Ncuti Gatwa has been cast as the lead in Doctor Who, while Emma Mackey will soon star in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.

S-x Education will return to Netflix on September 21, with Asa Butterfield, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Aimee Lou Wood, Dua Saleh, Mimi Keene, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Chinenye Ezeudu, Connor Swindells, and Gillian Anderson returning to their respective roles.
