Magic Mike is coming back for one last dance and Salma Hayek will be there to keep him company. The Oscar-nominated actress is set to join Magic Mike’s Last Dance after Thandiwe Newton announced she’s exiting the project.

Warner Bros. released an official statement, saying that “Thandiwe Newton has made the difficult decision to step away from the production of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Magic Mike’s Last Dance to deal with family matters.” It didn’t take them long to find a replacement, and Hayek was happy to step in.

Not much is known about the third installment in the Magic Mike series and the leading man Channing Tatum is the only actor to confirm his return so far. Steven Soderbergh, who helmed the first film in the franchise, is coming back as a director, with Reid Carolin writing the script. Plot details are still being kept under wraps.

Hayek is experiencing somewhat of a career renaissance lately and Magic Mike’s Last Dance joins a growing list of high-profile projects that she recently starred in. Just last year, she joined the MCU with the role of Ajak in Eternals, in addition to starring in House of Gucci and The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.
