Amazon and Hello Sunshine’s Daisy Jones and the Six forthcoming original series has cast Sam Claflin as its lead.
Claflin, best known for playing Finnick Odair in the Hunger Games franchise, joins previously announced Riley Keough.
The musical drama based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel of the same title details the spectacular rise and precipitous fall of a renowned (fictional) rock band in the 1970s. Claflin will play Billy Dunne, the band’s charismatic frontman whose increasingly complicated feelings for bandmate and songwriting partner Daisy Jones (Keough) threaten to upend every facet of his life
Claflin’s other credits include Every Breath You Take and Me Before You.
