Peacock’s limited series based on the life of Tiger King star Joe Exotic just added Sam Keeley and Nat Wolff to its cast. According to Deadline, Keeley and Wolff will star as Exotic’s husbands John Finlay and Travis Maldonado, respectively.

Finlay and Maldonado were both prominently featured in Tiger King. Netflix’s hit docu-series showed Finlay leaving Exotic after taking issue with his abusive behavior and becoming a family man. Maldonado, on the other hand, died after being involved in a gun accident.

According to the official synopsis, Peacock’s series will primarily focus on the rivalry between exotic animal park owner Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel and big-cat rights activist Carole Baskin. After learning that Exotic breeds exotic animals, Baskin makes it her mission to stop him. Exotic, on the other hand, isn’t backing down and will try to get his revenge by all means.

The series, which uses Joe Exotic as its working title, previously nabbed Tony Award-winning actor John Cameron Mitchell to play the titular character and Emmy Award-winner Kate McKinnon as Baskin. Cougar Town’s Brian Van Holt will star as John Reinke, former zoo manager who worked for Exotic.

Ethan Frankel, known for his work on Shameless, serves as writer and executive producer on Joe Exotic. It was previously revealed that the series won’t be based on Netflix’s Tiger King but rather on Wondery podcast Joe Exotic: Tiger King, which was hosted by journalist Rob Moor.
